Syllabus in brief
Tajweed Faculty
New students are enrolled under this department. Upon completion of the art of recitation of the Holy Qur’an students are then admitted either to Hafizi or Alimi Section.
Hifz Faculty
Jamia’s Hifz department has an outstanding reputation. Due to the dedication and efforts of the teachers students are capable of becoming Hafiz within a relatively short period of time.
Alimi Faculty
Under this faculty students are taught from primary to the highest level of Islamic syllabus known as Dawra-e-Hadith. This faculty is staffed with teachers who are specialist in their respective area of expertise such as Uloom-at-Tafseer, Uloom-al-Hadith and Uloom-al-Fiqh etc.
National Curriculum Faculty
Jamia is a DfES registered secondary school. Teachers with excellent qualification and experience teach the students National Curriculum subjects including English, Maths, Science, ICT, History, Citizenship, PE, Georgraphy, RE and DTA.
2. The unique qualities of the Jamia.
• Students lead congregational prayers within the
Jamia as a future development
• Special care for characteristics along with
education.
• Persuading students to live their lives according to
Sunnah
• Revision class everyday after school from
5 pm – 7:30 pm under teacher supervision
• A continual report system so that the parents are
made aware of their childs progress.
• Students are trained to deliver lectures, recite the
Holy Qur’an and nasheeds in weekly
congregational programmes.
3. The success of the Jamia.
• After inspecting the Jamia the OFSTED inspectors
praised the progress made by the Jamia.
• Jamia held its first graduation ceremony on 19th
August 2007 where students who completed Alimi
and Hafizi courses where honoured with the award
of Dastar-e-Fazilat.
• Jamia has a high success rate at GCSE compared
with other Madrasas.
• With the blessing of Allah and your generous
contribution Jamia now has a purpose built library,
ICT suite and Science labs.
4. The urgent need of the Jamia.
• Jamia’s still has a Qard-e-Hasana of £350,000
which was used to purchase the current premises.
• Further Qard-e-Hasana of £75,000 was taken
to acquire essential resources and to complete
all required work on the playground, science lab,
ICT Suite and other builiding work.
• Jamia urgently needs to renovate its prayer hall
which will cost in the region of £75,000
• A further £100,000 is required to complete the
remaining building work.
5. Jamia’s source of income.
The Jamia does not have a permanent source of income. The mercy of Allah, The donations
gratefully received from the Muslim community
(the slight amount of fees paid by the students
which incidentally is much lower than that of other
private schools) are the only source of income for
the Jamia.
6. Expenditure of the Jamia
• Jamia has a substantial monthly expenditure in the
region of £20,000. The bulk of it is spent on
salaries, resources and utility bills. Therefore,
Jamia’s annual expenditure is in the region of
£250,000.
7. The ways in which you can help the
Jamia.
• Paying for a praying mat area of land which will
cost £300
• Paying for a unit which will cost a £1,000
• Paying for a room which will cost of £5,000 and
have your name engraved.
• You can pay a permanent donation every month or
quarterly to support the need of the Jamia by
standing order
• You may sponsor to pay off the tuition fees of
students who have difficulty in doing so.
• Assisting Jamia to pay for resource books.
8. Jamia’s Zakat Fund.
• You may pay your Zakat money and fitra money to
the Jamia Zakat Fund which will be paid according
to sharia.
